In this Week’s Family Update:

* Slip n Slide - It's Back! Slip & Slide Kickball for Middle School and High School will be on July 30th from 6–8 PM.  This is a great chance to connect with friends and make new ones.  Not sure what slip and slide kickball is?  Well, it's something that is best experienced in person.  Students, invite your crew for the best game of kickball of the summer.  Oh!  And don't forget to register everyone online today!  Visit our Event page HERE.

* Choir rehearsal is on July 23rd at 5:30 pm.  If you love to sing and worship but are not ready to be part of the worship team, this is a fantastic opportunity for you!  All you need to do is show up and Becca will help you get plugged in for the rest.  Right now choir is getting ready for our October Worship Night!  If you would like more information, please feel free to reach out to Becca at rebecca.shepherd@silvercreekchurch.com

* Food Drive for Fill a Bag Feed a Family - Our local food pantries are in desperate need of your help!  With the summer now in full swing, there is a considerable drop in food donations, but the need continues to increase.  On August 3rd, we want to fill their shelves again with food supplies.  Please, prayerfully consider providing basic food supplies like pasta, spaghetti sauce, mac and cheese, canned vegetables, juice, cooking oil, OR basic household items like laundry detergent, toilet paper, shampoo, or toothpaste.  The list goes on.  Bring your donations for drop off, one day only, during each service on August 3rd.  

* Shout out to the kids' team - With VBC in the rearview mirror, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the Next Generation leaders and volunteers who make that ministry possible.  Without you, we could never share the love of Jesus the way you do.  Over 250 kids filled this building during VBC week, and beyond just keeping everyone safe and having fun, 7 kids gave their lives to Jesus, and several families started attending Silver Creek Church.  And YOU did that.  Outside of VBC, you guys answer the call to lead the next generation of Christian believers, and you do it with amazing wisdom and grace.  So thank you again from all of us on staff at SCC and from all of the parents who see the incredible work you do!

* Just as a reminder, Silver Creek Church has a shuttle service on Sunday mornings for the 9:30 and 11:00 services.  Parking is at the University Hospitals parking lot, located in the Barrington Town Center across from Heinen's.  The shuttle will pick you up in the parking lot and bring you right to the front door.  If you are a member or a regular attender, please consider this option to ensure we can make room for new guests looking to be filled with the words of Jesus.
